Zcash.Club: 3,333 masked identities, payment on mainnet, delivery on the ZSA test network

If you want to apply to the Zcash.Club whitelist, the short answer is this: the application is open at zcash.club/tasks, you connect your X account, complete three public tasks and wait for the doors to open. The detail worth seeing before you apply is written into the project's own mint flow: the network where you pay is not the network where you receive.

What is the project

According to the home page, Zcash.Club is a collection of 3,333 illustrated identities. The site describes itself as a collection about identity, individuality and the freedom to keep something to yourself, and says pieces are assigned in number order. The mint has not opened: the page says the club will open its doors to minting soon.

The flow the site describes has three stages. First the Noir wallet is connected and a message is signed; the page asks for a shielded mainnet wallet for this. Then, when the mint opens, a separate network fee is reviewed inside Noir and, in the page's words, payment is confirmed on mainnet. In the third stage the piece becomes visible after ZSA test network delivery, by opening the sealed chest in the collection screen.

The tasks page states that the X account is used only to identify and verify the campaign post that is submitted, and links to its own privacy notice for how campaign account data is handled.

What the project says

The pinned post from 18 September announces the whitelist application and points to the tasks page. According to a post on 19 September, more than 1,000 applications arrived in under 12 hours and the team is reviewing every single one. A post on 20 September says accepted applicants earn the right to nominate one friend.

Both the application count and the review process are the project's own statements; neither rests on a record that can be verified from outside.

NFT

The member files on the site (for example pieces 1, 2, 3, 6 and 7) list the attributes of each piece: background, fur, outfit color, face mask, headwear, clothing, ear accessory and emblem. The same files carry two more fields, and that is where the real information sits: the network field reads "public ZSA test network", and the asset ID field states that the piece has not been issued yet.

Read together with the mint flow, this produces a clear split: the payment happens on the Zcash mainnet, the piece arrives on a test network. The line at the bottom of the page draws the same distinction, separating ZEC payments from ZSA testnet NFTs. Whether an asset delivered on the test network will move to mainnet, and by what method if it does, is not written on any of the pages reviewed.

The collection had no published contract address or asset ID at the time of writing; the site itself shows this as not yet issued in its member files.

• Any statement on moving pieces delivered on the ZSA test network to mainnet.

Conclusion

The only thing Zcash.Club offers as something you can hold today is its whitelist tasks; the collection itself stays in the site's text until the mint opens. Payment on mainnet and delivery on a test network is a split the project wrote itself, and it remains an open question until the two are explained.
