ZADDR update: mint on 21 September at 0.02 ZEC, while the homepage still says no date

We covered ZADDR's whitelist application on 13 September: applications were open and neither the mint date nor the price was known. At the time of writing both had been announced, but in only one place.

What is the project

ZADDR is a 2,800 piece collection on Zcash; its site ties the supply to the Orchard pool and the collection's distinguishing claim is that every face is public and every owner is not. Applications are made with an X account and approval rests on manual review by the team. Growth on the application side can be measured. In our article of 13 September the counter on the homepage read 3,494; at the time of writing the same counter read 20,461. According to a post on 14 September, 3,824 applications had been approved at that date with 110 in the queue. The site's map page lists Nigeria, India, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Japan as the largest countries, with Türkiye on the list at 804 applications.

What the project says

The post shared at 13:38 UTC on 18 September, pinned ever since, gives the mint plan:

• Date: 21 September
• Whitelist phase: 13:00 UTC, 1 piece per wallet
• Public phase: 19:00 UTC, 3 pieces per wallet
• Price: 0.02 ZEC per piece

Nine minutes earlier, at 13:29 UTC, a post announced that the application window had closed. The same post says that if the window reopens before the mint it will be announced on the X account.

Two further operational announcements sit alongside these. On 16 September the project opened a status checker: zaddr.net/checker returns one of three answers to anyone who pastes in a username, approved, still being read, or not this round. On 18 September an address correction flow was opened for a limited time for applicants who had submitted the wrong address.

What to watch

• 21 September: mint day, whitelist phase at 13:00 UTC, public phase at 19:00 UTC.
• Whether the homepage is updated with the mint date and price.
• The official address and contract details carrying the issuance.
• Whether the application window reopens.
• What sits behind the zaddr.studio gate.

Conclusion

ZADDR's mint date and price are now announced, but only in the pinned post: at the time of writing the project's own homepage still said there was no date and no price. Which address will carry the issuance had not been published in any official source three days before the mint.
