UnVault is on mainnet but closed, and the Genesis Bugz mint has no date

This review uses the source record dated 2026-10-11. Announcements describe that period and should not be read as current mint or participation invitations.

What is the project

UnVault has two parts, and both treat an NFT being tied to a single chain as the problem to solve. According to the whitepaper, UNVAULT is a cross-chain NFT migration system that moves NFTs between blockchains while preserving their provenance, ownership and authenticity. DIVIT is an automated layer that redistributes royalty revenue and rewards to holders across several chains according to rules the project defines.

How the move works is described on the marketplace page: when an NFT goes from one chain to another it is not duplicated, wrapped or synthetically bridged. Instead the original NFT is locked into a smart contract vault on the origin chain, and a canonical representation becomes claimable on the destination chain. For the duration of that claim the original token is kept non-circulating.

Cross-chain messaging is handled by LayerZero. Per the whitepaper, immutable endpoints sit on every supported network, decentralised verification networks (DVNs) attest to the lock message, a permissionless Executor delivers it to the destination chain, and an omnichain registry tracks in real time which copy is active. The project presents this as making duplicate issuance cryptographically impossible, and states that it implements LayerZero's ONFT721 standard. One of the whitepaper's design principles is permissionlessness: a project is said to need no approval from UnVault, LayerZero or any intermediary in order to take part.

On the royalty side the mechanism is called an Echo Contract. According to the royalty page, when a collection is unvaulted an Echo Contract is deployed on each supported chain; it mirrors the canonical token metadata, references the UnVault registry, enforces royalty logic at the contract layer and maintains a single active token instance.

DIVIT itself is an opt-in rewards engine. Project owners define what the documentation calls divit rules; the whitepaper's own example is distributing 50 percent of secondary sale royalties each month to holders who did not list their NFT for sale. The DIVIT page also draws its own line: this is not passive yield and it is not a substitute for equity, it does not convert NFTs into securities, and it does not promise profit based solely on holding. Per that page, a distribution is structured as a royalty payment tied to license participation.

The marketplace was shown as coming soon on the project's home page while this article was prepared. The whitepaper also describes a planned NFT automated market maker for the marketplace: collection pools priced by a bonding curve, deposits of both tokens and NFTs, liquidity providers earning a share of every trade, and pools that operate across chains. On the creator side there is a Mint Launchpad and a dashboard; the subdomain that takes applications was asking for a wallet connection while this article was prepared.

What the project says

The pinned post frames the problem through an analogy: buying a rare Pokemon card and being told you may only display or sell it in the shop where you bought it would not feel much like ownership, yet digital collectibles are mostly confined to the chain where they were created.

The posts also say where the product stands today. The 23 September update announces that deployment to mainnet is done but the product is not open to the public "yet": the marketplace and Bugz are in internal testing. On 1 October the first beta invites go out, with 100 testers and a live marketplace; a second post the same day says only about 60 percent of the beta spots have been chosen. The 2 October post says spots are limited and every submission is being read.

A series of collection partnerships was announced through September: CrazzzyMonsters from Cronos, JNKYZ and Handsome Frogs (DSNRS) from ApeChain, plus Imaginary Ones, RareApepes, Zards, Yucky Ducks and The God Pull. According to the Yucky Ducks post, moving to UnVault opens an existing collection to eight chains. The 28 September post says CrazzzyMonsters will launch a new collection through the omnichain Launchpad.

The project's own description also puts a number on it: the X bio presents UnVault as an omnichain NFT marketplace and launch platform working across eight blockchains. The account is verified, has been active since November 2024, and had 26.6K followers while this article was prepared.

Security is a recurring theme in the posts. Written after an incident elsewhere, the 25 September post gives that as the reason the team has been taking its time with audits, testing and internal mainnet work before opening UnVault up.

NFT

For a reader the first concrete step is the eligibility check: the Genesis Bugz page carries a wallet checker, and according to the 9 September post the Phase 1 collection list has been live on that same page since then. Which communities secured an allocation, and whether a given wallet qualifies, is visible there.

The page states the mint conditions: chain Robinhood, price free, network gas applies, limit one per wallet. Bugz are described as a reward for being a minter. Per the page, a wallet holding a Bugz goes first on participating launches on the omnichain UnVault Mint Launchpad; each time you mint a participating collection a Mint Bonus is attached to your Bug, and accumulated rewards are claimed through UnVault. The whitepaper also describes mint phases: allowlisted wallets receive prioritised access during private or pre-sale phases before the public mint window opens.

The mint itself had not happened while this article was prepared. The 27 September post, awarding a contest winner a Genesis Bugz from team supply, says "once we mint", so the date was open on that day too. The 19 September post refers to two separate mints, DeBugz and Bugz, and gives only "soon" for both. No announced mint date appears in the sources reviewed.

Team and funding

No team page giving names, roles or prior projects was found on the site. A 28 September post, however, introduces Aaron Haber (@AaronHaber) as UnVault co-founder while inviting people to a space, so the name appears in the project's own statement rather than on a team page.

No funding statement was found: there is no source giving an amount raised, investors or a round. There was no match in protocol registries either, with no DefiLlama entry matching this X account.

What to watch

The mint date is the first item: the Phase 1 allocation list has been live since early September and partnerships keep being announced, but no mint window has been announced. Second is the beta opening to the public: the first group of 100 was being selected in early October.

Third is the audit. The posts say time has been spent on audits, but no audit report, and no page naming an auditing firm, appears in the sources reviewed. Fourth is pricing: the whitepaper describes a fee model (a small fee per cross-chain transfer or a fraction of the royalties handled, setup and monthly maintenance charges, subscription tiers) without giving a single rate.

Finally, scope, where there are three different figures: the X bio says eight blockchains, the whitepaper names Ethereum, Base, Abstract, ApeChain and Solana and then continues with "and more", while the Genesis Bugz page shows the mint on the Robinhood chain. Which chains are live today, and where DIVIT and the planned NFT AMM actually run, is not clear in the sources reviewed.

Conclusion

UnVault's documents describe the product in detail and tie the mechanism to a concrete architecture: a vault, an Echo Contract, LayerZero and an opt-in royalty pool. Today's state sits behind what the documents describe: mainnet deployment is done, the marketplace is in a closed beta of 100 people, and the free Genesis Bugz mint has no announced date. The practical upshot for a reader is that eligibility can be checked today while the mint is still pending.
