Acepyr builds markets for subjective questions, and its token cannot be bought

What is the project

Acepyr tries to change the question prediction markets usually ask. Its documentation frames the problem this way: most prediction markets ask "will X happen by this date", which is tied to a clock and closes once the outcome arrives. According to the project, most of what people hold opinions about does not fit that shape: for questions like whether a company is genuinely in trouble, or whether a technology is overhyped, there is no single moment at which the world hands you a verdict.

The platform's answer is to separate two kinds of question. Questions the world can answer itself are settled against rules fixed before trading, according to the documentation. For questions it cannot answer there is a structure called a "meta-market", where the documentation says a record is built instead of a settlement. Execution runs through an order book: the project's own order book documentation states that every share on the book is created backed by a full dollar and that a winning share credits the full $1.00.

The project sits on the EVM side, and product pieces such as an AI assistant, a weekly tournament and a faucet made of twenty one-off achievements are each described on their own documentation pages.

What the project says

Acepyr lists five principles, and two of them bear directly on the subject of this article. The first is "earned, never bought": according to the documentation nothing on the platform can be brought into existence with money, and no better position or rank can be purchased. The second is "no head start": the team states that it allocates itself no advantage in the system it is asking users to trust, and holds none of the existing balance or record in reserve for itself.

The story told by the X account is focused on product velocity instead. The pinned post announces tokenized stocks with version 2.0.5, another post describes the same release as "tokenized stocks, book markets, a big airdrop, and more", another gives the prize pool and winner count of a monthly referral tournament, and another says the waitlist is capped at ten thousand. The posts also show that testnet version 2.0 opened on mobile and web.

Token

The most important finding of this article is here, and its source is the project itself. The documentation's testnet page states that Acepyr is pre-mainnet and that the $ACEPYR in circulation today is a testnet token, that is, a symbolic point system. According to the same page this token carries no economic value, gives no claim on USDC, carries no revenue share, cannot be bought, and may never acquire any value. Converting testnet balances into a mainnet token is intended, but in the project's own words no ratio or mechanism has been set and the plan may change.

The practical consequence for a reader is written on the project's warning page: $ACEPYR cannot be bought from anyone, at any price. The same page treats every offer to sell you $ACEPYR, to "whitelist" you, or to get you in early as fake by definition. The page also lists that Acepyr will never message you first, never ask for a seed phrase or private key, and never ask for payment to unlock a prize. A statement of unsellability this explicit in a project's own documentation is not something this archive sees often.

How the circulating balance grows is also described in the documentation: the faucet is a fixed set of twenty one-off achievements, conditions are checked automatically at sign-in, and there is no claim button. The page states that the faucet mints against a daily ceiling, and that a claim made after that ceiling is reached is held as owed and settled on the daily payout run.

One contract address appears in the sources reviewed, but it is not published in this article for two reasons. The address was not verified from the project's official X account, and the source it came from is a Sepolia testnet explorer page. No verified record pointing to a mainnet contract was found, which is consistent with the project's statement that it is pre-mainnet.

Team and funding

No team page giving names, roles or past projects was found in the sources reviewed. There is no funding statement either; the three lines flagged as funding candidates in the fact set are in fact documentation text describing how the product works, not a funding disclosure.

What to watch

The mainnet transition itself and the conversion ratio for testnet balances are the two headings the project explicitly calls undecided. The documentation points to its economics page and its mainnet $ACEPYR page as the single source of truth for anything money related, but neither page is among the sources reviewed while this article was prepared: the document the project itself points to could not be read. How the tokenized stocks and the airdrop announced in the X posts relate to a testnet token that cannot be bought and has no value is also not explained. The address given as the application subdomain did not respond at the time of writing.

Conclusion

Acepyr's documentation describes its product in detail and is unusually clear about what its token is today: it has no value, it cannot be bought, and the project treats a sale offer as fake by definition. What remains unclear is the continuation of that clarity, namely what today's balances will convert into at the mainnet transition and where the rules governing that are written.
