Motif: 2,048 pieces on Ethereum, a 20 October mint and a gap in the royalty rate

What is the project

Motif is an Ethereum art collection published under the name magicburp. According to the project, the contract stores the marks and timing from which each piece is drawn and animated. The artist describes kilim and ceramic patterns encountered while growing up in Türkiye as part of the work's background.

The site limits the collection to at most 2,048 pieces. The Artist's Proof pieces are not presented as a fixed allocation: the terms accessed on 12 October say that one is earned for every 41 pieces minted by collectors when minting closes, with a maximum of 48.

What the project says

The official schedule accessed on 12 October lists 20 October 2026 as the mint date. All phase times are in UTC:

The current page shows a price of 0.03 ETH plus gas, with the same price in every phase. The limit is two pieces per wallet through First Chair and The Ensemble, rising to five in total once Public opens. The site says that this total counts pieces collected through its own mint page and OpenSea together.

The Ensemble applications are described as closing on 18 October at 00:00 UTC. According to the project's announcement, wallets holding selected collections at the seal can also join without applying. First Chair is chosen by the artist and is a different status from the general application list.

Minting closes on 22 October at 17:00 UTC. The page says that the reveal will occur within the following hour. These are announced conditions, rather than a completed mint or independently verified distribution result.

This link chain is different from verifying a contract. No mint contract address to publish appears on the accessed official page; the terms say that the address will be shown, verified on Etherscan, on deployment day. This article therefore publishes no contract address.

The royalty records come from different dates. The official terms accessed on 12 October state a 5 percent creator royalty. The OpenSea page recorded on 18 September showed a 7.5 percent creator fee. That older marketplace record was not measured again today, so this review does not establish whether the gap has been resolved.

The zero market metrics in that same September record are not used as a current floor price. They cannot establish the collection's trading or liquidity after minting.

Team and funding

The artist signs the site narrative as magicburp and says they assess applications themselves. That is a project statement; the person's identity and connection with their earlier Goblynz work were not independently verified. The reviewed sources contain no announcement naming investors or an amount raised.
