Beldex: Kraken withdrawals close on September 25, the BSC contract changed; the June incident and where things stand

The most urgent Beldex news this month is a date: BDX withdrawals on Kraken close on September 25 at 14:00 UTC. According to Kraken's notice, legacy $BDX and new $BELDEX balances left in an account after that will be liquidated automatically between September 28 and October 2.

The date is part of a process that started in June: there was an incident on the BSC bridge, the BDX contract on BSC was replaced and the Beldex chain was rolled back with a hardfork. This article covers what BDX holders need to know first, then the timeline according to official sources, the project's products and its roadmap.

If you hold BDX

On Kraken. According to Kraken's support page, last updated on July 9:

• Legacy $BDX is being delisted; trading and deposits are permanently disabled.
• The Beldex team deployed a new contract and token after the incident, which Kraken lists as $BELDEX. Both tokens support withdrawals only.
• Withdrawals close on September 25, 2026 at 14:00 UTC.
• Remaining balances will be liquidated automatically between September 28 and October 2, 2026.
• Clients who held $BDX at the snapshot on June 10, 2026 at 23:36 UTC receive $BELDEX 1:1 based on their snapshot balance.

On BSC. On June 16 Beldex announced that the BSC contract was being migrated from the old address to a new one. The new contract was posted from the official account on July 9 together with the BDX/WBNB pair on PancakeSwap. Version 2.0 of the MiCA document says the old contract has been retired and the new one is the official BDX-BSC representation going forward.

The old address named in the June 16 announcement has been retired; according to the MiCA document it is no longer the official BSC representation of BDX. We are deliberately not printing the old address.

Watch out for scammers. On June 16 the project warned about scammers using the compensation announcement: users are credited based on the snapshot taken before the incident and do not need to take any action to receive their tokens. On June 26 it also warned about a listing campaign promoting BDX with a previous Solana contract: that contract no longer represents BDX.

If you had a transaction on the native chain before Hardfork 21. On July 3 the project published an archive wallet RPC and explorer to view balances before the rollback. The RPC is for balance and transaction verification only; new transactions must use the live network's public RPCs.

What happened in June

The timeline according to official sources:

• June 12: Beldex said it had identified an issue affecting the BSC bridge infrastructure and was investigating with partners. The announcement goes on to describe precautionary steps for the BSC contract, bridge services and related infrastructure; the text in our permanent copy is cut off mid sentence.
• June 14: the project said the situation was under control and remediation was progressing as planned.
• June 16: the BSC contract migration was announced.
• June 18: phase one of the airdrop to the new contract was completed; phase two involved coordinating balances with exchanges.
• June 20 and 23: BloFin and BingX said they support the migration. According to the BingX announcement, eligible balances are swapped 1:1 based on the June 10 snapshot at 23:36 UTC.
• June 26, Hardfork 21: according to Beldex's post of June 29, the network state was rolled back to block 5518799 (approximately 08:45 UTC on June 26). Deposits, withdrawals, swaps and peer to peer transfers after that block were reversed. The post does not give a cause.
• June 30 and July 1: deposits and withdrawals reopened on KuCoin, WEEX and MEXC. The project said participating exchanges were compensated where required.
• August 6 and 7: the new Beldex Bridge was announced as having completed a penetration test by Hacken, and the bridge between the native chain and BNB Smart Chain reopened.

Two questions remain open. What technically went wrong on the bridge, and how the rollback relates to it, is not stated in the official sources we reviewed. We also could not find the reports for the Hacken penetration test or for the Dakara Research codebase audit announced on June 9; both are the project's claims for now.

What is the project

Beldex is a privacy project with its own Layer 1 chain. Its documentation describes it as a confidential currency based on Monero; the network today runs on masternodes. The explorer showed 3,446 active masternodes on September 14 at 09:46 UTC; the collateral for one masternode is 10,000 BDX.

The project describes transaction privacy in three parts: RingCT, which hides amounts; stealth addresses, which create a unique receiving address for each transaction; and Dandelion++, which relays a transaction through several nodes before it is broadcast to hide its origin. The Obscura hardfork in December 2025 introduced Bulletproofs++; the project says proof size shrank by about 38% and verification became faster.

Apps on the chain:

• BChat: an end to end encrypted messenger that does not ask for a phone number. According to its site, messages are routed through a decentralized masternode based network.
• BelNet: a decentralized VPN using onion routing. Split tunneling lets users choose which apps go through the VPN; the Android version was updated to 1.4.1 on August 31.
• Beldex Browser: a browser that blocks ads and fingerprint tracking and has BelNet built in. According to its site it is available on Android; the iOS version has not been released yet.
• BNS: a name service for .bdx names. A name can resolve to a Beldex wallet address, a BChat ID, a BelNet address and an EVM wallet address. Prices are 650 BDX for 1 year, 1,000 for 2 years, 2,000 for 5 years and 4,000 for 10 years; names are bought with the Buy BNS option in the Beldex wallet. The BNS marketplace for peer to peer trading of names was announced on June 10. The explorer showed 6,620 registrations as of September 14.

What the project says

Funding. On August 20 Beldex announced an $8 million round led by Sigma Capital, with NTC, Nxgen, Digital Consensus Fund and EAK Ventures participating. The Decrypt version of the news is marked as a sponsored press release. According to the release, the funds will go to the Beldex Extension Wallet, SDKs and developer tools, VRF consensus and account-based addresses, confidential assets and an EVM compatible sidechain testnet, protocol security, AI infrastructure and research into quantum safe technologies and fully homomorphic encryption. Chairman Afanddy Bin Hushni says in the release that privacy is becoming infrastructure, not an added feature.

Roadmap. The project's updated roadmap announcement of July 29 adds EVM compatibility for developers, confidential assets, AI infrastructure and quantum resistant security. Version 2.0 of the MiCA document (August 26) says a transition to VRF based consensus is planned for 2026; on August 28 the project published the research laying the foundation for it. The research page lists three completed papers: an EVM integration proof of concept, zero knowledge age verification using Schnorr protocols and Pedersen commitments, and improving consensus with verifiable random functions. Bulletproof based age verification is ongoing.

The official sources we reviewed give no hardfork date for VRF, account-based addresses or confidential assets. The explorer showed the network version as v21 on September 14.

Access and payments. On September 3 BDX was added to SWFT Wallet and Bridgers, where native BDX and BDX on BSC can be swapped. On September 9 the Privacy Gateway card and swap service were added; the project presented the card as a payment tool that requires no KYC and no signup.

Token

Beldex's native asset is BDX. According to the MiCA document, BDX-BSC is a BEP-20 representation of BDX on BNB Smart Chain, intended for interoperability, trading and ecosystem engagement on external networks. Moving between the two networks goes through the Beldex Bridge, which reopened on August 7. The project says BSC is now the primary route for its cross chain ecosystem.

On September 14 at 14:40 UTC, CoinMarketCap showed BDX at $0.0763, a market cap of $600.6 million and 24-hour trading volume of $10.2 million. According to the same page, circulating supply was 7.87 billion and total supply 9.94 billion BDX; the all-time low of $0.01236 was recorded on June 11, 2026. Prices move constantly; these figures are a snapshot of that moment. The CoinMarketCap page also lists the new contract address and notes a 1:1 swap from the old contract. The explorer showed 11.88 million BDX burned on September 14.

Team and funding

The MiCA document names the issuer as Beldex International Foundation, registered in Panama (registration date March 14, 2023). The legal notice on the website uses the name Beldex International Inc; the relationship between the two names is not explained. Chairman Afanddy Bin Hushni is named in the funding release, and the @BDXcris account was announced as Chief Strategy Officer on September 2. Other team members are not named in the sources we reviewed.

Conclusion

Beldex is a privacy chain with usable products such as BChat, BelNet, Beldex Browser and BNS that announced an $8 million round in August; after the June bridge incident its BSC contract changed, the chain was rolled back and Kraken withdrawals close on September 25. The technical cause of the incident, the security reports and the dates of the major hardforks on its roadmap have not been disclosed.
